Cavers of Kirkcudbright
Written for Vass’s flatmate Paul Cavers. It won the first Niel Gow International Composition Award in 2008, opened String Theory in 2010, and came back as Bright Kirk on Notes From the Boat, with Ali Vass on melodica and a niece gurgling through it.
